Role Summary/Purpose: Responsible for information security and IT compliance across GE India. This role will work on a variety of information security projects for GE in the region. This will include implementing information security standards and policies, assessing security exposures internally and at our business partners, educating senior management of security risks and opportunities and services, as well as developing appropriate security solutions and driving security awareness.
Essential Responsibilities This position will report to the GE CISO with dotted responsibility into the GE Corporate India CIO. It will also be imperative to work very closely with the Corporate India leaders and business partners. Additional responsibilities includes:

- Lead the implementation and maintenance of IT security initiatives for India
- Provide support for security infrastructure and projects.
- Keep abreast of Corporate and GE best practices for application security for development, security documentation, training, auditing mechanisms, and review processes.
- Participate in reviews and audits to ensure conformance to system architecture, methods, security standards and practices of all IT projects & services.
- Act as the single point of contact to represent GE IT security and compliance in the region, develop and streamlining engagement processes to accelerate privacy and labor approvals.
- Work closely with the India government agencies (Law enforcement, intelligence, etc.). In addition, corporate compliance team, business partners, HR, and legal communities to help drive privacy and labor compliance for corporate IT deployments.
- Monitoring GE India security exposure and reacting to security incidents when they occur, participating in investigations where necessary.
- Work as a business partner with functional client teams and Corporate IT teams in the development of requirements and solutions related to data security and privacy.
- Plan, prioritize, and manage project(s) and associated resources.
- Prepare, present, and review project plans, status reports, cost/benefit studies, and recommend funding and resources.
Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree in Computer Science or similar technology discipline
- Minimum of 5 years IT experience or 2 years IT security experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience managing IT professional direct reports
- Minimum of 3 years experience working with cross-functional and global teams
- Minimum of 2 years Network technology, Windows/Unix administration and /or application development experience
- Fluency in English

- Familiarity with GE application development lifecycle (e.g., Corporate Wing to Wing) and tools (Kintana, Support Central) is a plus
- Six Sigma certification
- IMLP/EIMP graduate
